We've had a great stay here ..front desk was pleasant and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious..the beds are very comfortable..we will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for about 3 months on a travel assignment same room is always available for me when I book in advance. Friendly staff, secured building, and love housekeeping! Lots of shopping and food near by. I must say I feel safe and cared for at this hotel. If and when I come back this will def be my go to spot!

Very accommodating front desk. Rooms are spacious and clean. Not sure what the bad reviews are all about, but we had 4 rooms with two adjoining. All were very nice, comfortable and quiet. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Good enough for one night. The area of town was safe. Definitely the cheapest hotel in that area. Some of the guests were a bit rough but for my needs it worked. Room was okay. Could've been cleaner. I stayed for ~6 hours while traveling back for the holidays. Worked for my needs.

I began staying at this property weekly in early December of 2025. I live in Iowa City and work for the state in West Des Moines. I decided to give it a shot because they had a good rating on Booking. Now--I stay every week and book directly with the property for my work stays. The rooms are updated and modern, very clean, spacious, and quiet. The beds are extremely comfortable (which I especially appreciate having a full spinal fusion), and each room has a fridge and a microwave. The shower pressure and hot water are lovely after a long day at work. There is an onsite gym that is very nice as well. I have not used the pool but it looks great. The staff are absolutely fantastic, and so helpful and kind! The breakfast is perfect for me--I am a light eater, but they also have items like waffles for those who prefer a bigger meal in the morning. It's perfect for me as someone who needs a place to be for a home away from home for the work week, but it's also well-suited for (and located) for families who would want to be near the fun things the Des Moines area has to offer. 10/10 recommend--you absolutely cannot beat the value, quality, and kind service you will find here!

This place is always clean. I stay here for work all the time and the owner treats you with the utmost respect. I was here one night and a customer was so disrespectful the owner tried his best to fix the issue that the guy thought he was having. Thank you for all the great stays.

While visiting the Des Moines area, I stayed at the Super 8 in Clive and had a very pleasant experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. The rooms were fresh, clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. My only minor complaint is that the pillow top mattresses, were a bit too soft for my preference. This, combined with the mattress pad and fitted sheet, caused the bedding to shift a bit when sleeping and getting in and out of bed. It’s an easy fix, though, and certainly not a deal-breaker. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to major roads, and the parking lot is spacious and well lit — a nice bonus for late arrivals. I’ll definitely be booking here again when I’m passing through the area.
